YDAz Fall Conference
The YDAz Fall Conference is next weekend and we have quite an agenda for those of you attending! If you have not registered yet, do so here, it’s free. We will convene Saturday, September 26th in Tucson, Arizona at the Tucson Marriott University Park, in the Ventana Room. Please read through the agenda below and check out the great training opportunities we will have for you all.
10-11am: Check in
11:30-11:40am: Short snack break, (snacks provided)
11:40am-1:00pm: Peer to Peer Organizing with Stan Williams and Cole Hickman. Learn why it is most effective for young people to speak face to face with other young voters during campaigns.
1:00-1:45pm: Organizing for America/Health Insurance Reform with Stan Williams and Gilberto Zaragoza. Learn about the current health care debate and how we can help Congress pass this important legislation.
1:45-2:00pm: Break
2:00-3:20pm: Voter Activation Network (VAN) with Sam Almy, Field Organizer for the Pima County Democratic Party. VAN is the tool used by the AZ Dem Party and campaigns in our state to target voters, keep track of them, and win elections!
3:20-5:00pm: Telling your story with Pat Burns and Ken Chapman. Using your personal story and conveying your values when campaigning for positive change is the most vital skill in politics. Learn how and why!
5:00-5:10pm: Break
6:00pm-6:30pm: Caucus Meetings
6:30pm: Dismissed!
