More of the Same
Well, it is official. The Republican primary season is over and John McCain is the Republican nominee. In response, President Bush endorsed McCain Wednesday in a photo-op at the White House. Congratulations were given, flatteries exchanged, and the pair declared to the American People what Democrats have known all along: four years of McCain is four more years of the same thing. McCain made it very clear that he and Bush were on the same page, saying, “I look forward to the chance to bring our message to America.”
Our message? Finally the truth comes out. John McCain and George Bush may not have always seen eye to eye politically, but the important thing is that John McCain has flip-flopped on many major issues to align himself with George W. Bush. They have a common agenda and they intend to push it upon the American people. It is an agenda of tax cuts for the wealthy, an agenda of 100 more years at war. George Bush and John McCain have made it clear that they are happy with the state of the country and that they want to keep things the way they are. The Bush years have brought us war, fear, detrimental environmental policy, higher gas prices and a struggling economy. Americans want change. Bush-McCain wants the status quo.

You’re right Wyatt. John McCain is really nothing else but a third term for George Bush.

We need every American to see how these two are one in the same. There is no such thing as the Straight Talking Maverick Senator anymore. It’s just McBush.

The funniest part of John McCain’s visit to the White House was George Bush saying he would support or oppose McCain in the election, whichever would help. It’s about time George Bush realized how much of a pariah he is for his own party.
Problem is, John McCain believes in the terrible Bush Administration policies that have been hurting the country just as much as any other Republican in Washington. Whether Bush supports him or not, McCain stands for the same failed ideas as Bush, and he’d continue the same failures in the White House.

It will be interesting to see how often McCain uses Bush during the campaign. It will probably be rare, but when it happens the site will be carefully selected to be a place where people still love the guy. Look out for Bush to rake in the money for McCain on the few occasions he stumps for him.
