President Hickman quoted in NY Times
Young Democrats of Arizona President Cole Hickman was quoted today in the “National Report” section of the New York Times Cole spoke about the guns in schools bill currently being pushed by Republicans in the State Senate.
“If another student in the room or a teacher had a gun and opened fire they may hurt other students,” he said, “because unlike police officers, concealed-weapon permit holders are not necessarily well-trained in shooting in crowds and reacting to those kinds of situations.”
The Young Democrats have collected hundreds of letters and sent emails to the Republicans urging them to vote down this bill. Those calls for campus safety were ignored when the first Senate committee to hear the bill voted to move it forward.

I’m so glad the bill made it through the senate committee.
Please, Nappy, pass this bill for the safety of students!

This bill won’t make anyone safer. Thank you to Cole for testifying to the committee and standing up for students who don’t want armed people on campus.

Hi. In the future I’m going to keep here links to their sites. But I do not worry about the sites where my link is removed. So if you do not want to see a mountain of links, simply delete this message. After 2 weeks, I will come back and check.
