YDA Executive Director visits the southwest
Alexandra Acker, the Executive Director of the Young Democrats of America, joined us in Phoenix this week. As part of a Southwest swing she came to the Valley of the Sun just before heading to Colorado to scout out Denver, host city of the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
While in Arizona, Al made it clear how important the Southwest and, in particular, Arizona, are in the national political scene. “People aren’t talking about the same five battleground states from 2000 and 2004, people are talking about Colorado, and New Mexico, and they are talking about Arizona. The YD’s of Arizona are key to a Democratic success in 2008” said Al Acker.
